FreeLife donates to the Shriners Hospitals for Children!

FreeLife® CEO Ray Faltinsky and President Kevin Fournier contributed to an inspirational session at Abundance ’09 with a special donation on behalf of GojiKids®.

The generous donation went to El Zaribah Shriners of Phoenix, Arizona for its work with the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The presentation was made after an uplifting appearance, including a drum-off with Kevin, by special guest speaker Dan Caro. Caro, who suffered life-threatening, third-degree burns as a youngster, spent literally years in Shriners hospitals. He is now an ambassador for Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Started in 1922, the Shriners Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind health care system dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs.

Every year, the Shriners Hospitals for Children provides care for thousands of children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, in a family-centered environment at no charge.

FreeLife, on behalf of GojiKids, was very pleased to be able to assist a group like Shriners Hospitals for Children, which has been helping kids such as Dan Caro defy the odds for more than 85 years.

How TAISlim Helps to Control your Appetite

Experts agree that in order to lose excess fat, you must take in fewer calories each day than you expend. And yet, it can be difficult to break old habits and push yourself away from the table if you’re still hungry. Fortunately, TAIslim™ offers multiple ways to make it easier for you to eat less and still feel satisfied.

TAIslim’s exclusive Appitol Plus complex features two natural amino acids, L-phenylalanine and N-acetyl-L-tyrosine. Studies on these natural building blocks of protein suggest that they can help suppress food cravings and the urge for between-meal snacks. This is because of their action on the brain’s pleasure centers. Your brain is designed to reward you with feelings of pleasure for performing necessary actions like eating or seeking warmth or shelter, and it’s also designed to make you want to avoid uncomfortable sensations such as extreme cold or physical pain. A pleasurable activity such as eating triggers the release of a brain chemical called dopamine, which travels to special receptors to produce a sensation of pleasure—you feel satisfied, and you can therefore stop eating. But in many overweight people, something’s gone haywire with their dopamine receptors, so it takes more food for them to get the message that they’re satisfied.

The amino acids in TAIslim’s Appetol Plus complex are structurally similar to dopamine, and studies have shown that they can increase the activity of dopamine in the brain. That means that, by taking TAIslim at the start of a meal, you can feel that pleasurable sensation without having to overeat.

TAIslim also contains NuFlora™, a special fiber ingredient that promotes the early release of CCK, a hormone that makes you feel fuller faster. And it can make you feel fuller longer as well. The hunger signal occurs several hours after eating as blood sugar levels begin to dip. Once you have eaten another meal, blood sugar levels once again rise to normal and your hunger goes away. Scientists know that if you can keep your blood sugar levels up
for a longer period of time, you can delay the hunger signal, and this is another way in which TAIslim can offer help. By delaying the absorption of food, TAIslim’s unique NuFlora fiber lets it into the bloodstream a little at a time—a constant trickle instead of a flood. This helps to maintain normal blood sugar levels, and also allows your body to deal with your food much more easily, without having to overproduce fat-storing stress hormones like insulin and cortisol.

With TAIslim, you can find it easier than ever to walk away from the dining table earlier, and you won’t be as anxious waiting for the dinner bell to ring!

Ryan Clark

The road to success was a wild ride for professional football player Ryan Clark. After enjoying an impressive college career at Louisiana State where he started 36 consecutive games at free safety, Ryan debuted as a professional in New York back in 2002.

Ryan Clark
Professional Football Pittsburgh Defensive Back

He played in the Big Apple for two years before his next contract landed him in Washington, where he played well for another two seasons. Despite his impressive on-field numbers, Washington allowed him to leave for Pittsburgh at the end of his contract. There he battled talented competition, overcame a serious illness that almost took his life, and still managed to anchor one of the toughest positions, free safety, on the league’s top defense. Ryan has earned the reputation as one of the fiercest hitters in the league, grown into a fan favorite, inspired his teammates through his amazing recovery and return to football, and managed to earn not one, but two World Championships with Pittsburgh. Armed with GoChi and a deep belief in his abilities to overcome virtually any obstacle, Ryan’s future both on and off the field looks to be very bright indeed.

“GoChi’s taste is second to none; its competition doesn’t even come close. Its taste is only outdone by its freshness and the energy it provides. GoChi is a real game-changer.”
